FUE Hair Transplant

Hair follicles are moved one by one from a donor area to thinning areas, following a plan made for you and 12 months of follow-up.

What is FUE hair transplant?

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a minimally invasive hair restoration technique. Hair follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area, usually the back and sides of the head, and implanted into thinning or bald areas. Because no strip of skin is removed, there is no linear scar.

Who is it for?

FUE is suitable for many men and women with stable hair loss and a sufficient donor area. During the online analysis, our medical team reviews your photos and medical history to confirm whether a hair transplant is the right option for you and how many grafts your plan may need.

How the procedure works

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and usually takes most of a day, depending on the number of grafts. Our medical team designs a natural-looking hairline with you, extracts the grafts and places them at the angle and direction of your natural hair growth.

Recovery and results

Most people return to light daily activities within a few days. It is normal for transplanted hairs to shed in the first weeks. New growth usually starts after three to four months, and the final result is typically visible after 12 to 18 months. Individual results vary.

12 months of follow-up

Your care does not end after the procedure. For 12 months, our team follows your progress, answers your questions and gives you aftercare guidance at every stage.

Frequently asked questions

How many grafts will I need?

It depends on the size of the area to be treated, the density you would like and the capacity of your donor area. Our medical team estimates the number of grafts after reviewing your photos during the online analysis.

Are hair transplant results permanent?

Hair follicles taken from the donor area are generally less affected by pattern hair loss, so transplanted hair usually keeps growing over the long term. Your existing, non-transplanted hair may still thin over time, which is why our medical team takes possible future hair loss into account when planning.

When can I return to work after a hair transplant?

Many people return to office work within about a week. Redness and small crusts in the treated areas usually fade within the first two weeks. Strenuous exercise, swimming and some other activities should be avoided for longer. You receive detailed aftercare instructions.
