Frequently asked questions
General questions
Am I a suitable candidate for a hair transplant?
It depends on the type and stability of your hair loss and on the quality of your donor area. After you apply, our team asks you for a few photos. Our medical team reviews them and tells you whether a hair transplant, a supportive treatment or another approach is suitable for you.
How does the free online hair analysis work?
After you apply, our team contacts you and asks for a few photos of your hair from different angles. The medical team reviews them together with your health information and prepares a personalised treatment plan, including the recommended technique and, for a hair transplant, an estimated number of grafts. The online hair analysis is free of charge.
Is the procedure painful?
Hair transplant procedures are performed under local anaesthesia, so the treated areas are numbed. You may feel some discomfort when the anaesthetic is given and some tenderness in the days after the procedure. Our medical team explains how to manage this.
When will I see the final results?
Transplanted hairs usually shed in the first weeks. New growth typically begins after three to four months, and the final result is usually visible after 12 to 18 months. Results vary from person to person.
How much does treatment cost?
Every plan is personalised, so the cost depends on the treatment, the technique and, for a hair transplant, the number of grafts needed. You receive clear pricing together with your personalised plan after the free online hair analysis.
FUE hair transplant
How many grafts will I need?
It depends on the size of the area to be treated, the density you would like and the capacity of your donor area. Our medical team estimates the number of grafts after reviewing your photos during the online analysis.
Are hair transplant results permanent?
Hair follicles taken from the donor area are generally less affected by pattern hair loss, so transplanted hair usually keeps growing over the long term. Your existing, non-transplanted hair may still thin over time, which is why our medical team takes possible future hair loss into account when planning.
When can I return to work after a hair transplant?
Many people return to office work within about a week. Redness and small crusts in the treated areas usually fade within the first two weeks. Strenuous exercise, swimming and some other activities should be avoided for longer. You receive detailed aftercare instructions.
Hair transplant for women
Can every woman with hair loss have a hair transplant?
Not always. Diffuse thinning across the whole scalp, or hair loss with an underlying medical cause, may need a different approach first. Our medical team assesses your situation and recommends a hair transplant only when it is a suitable option for you.
Do I need to shave my head?
Not necessarily the whole head. How much shaving is needed depends on the area to be treated and the number of grafts. This is discussed with you during planning, so you know exactly what to expect.
Beard transplant
Will my transplanted beard look natural?
Each graft is placed to follow the natural angle and direction of your facial hair, and the design is planned with you to suit your face. Once grown, the transplanted hairs can be trimmed and shaped like the rest of your beard.
When can I shave after a beard transplant?
The treated area should not be shaved until the grafts are secure. Your medical team will tell you exactly when you can start trimming and shaving again, usually after the first couple of weeks.
Eyebrow transplant
Will my new eyebrows need trimming?
Usually, yes. The transplanted hairs come from the scalp and keep their natural growth pattern, so they grow longer than typical eyebrow hair and need regular trimming to keep their shape.
How long does an eyebrow transplant take?
It usually takes a few hours, depending on the number of grafts. Your plan, including the timing of the procedure, is shared with you in advance.
PRP & mesotherapy
How many PRP or mesotherapy sessions will I need?
This depends on your assessment. The treatments are usually given as a series of sessions a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions if needed. Our medical team recommends a schedule for you.
Can PRP replace a hair transplant?
No. PRP and mesotherapy can support existing hair and may help after a hair transplant, but they cannot restore hair in areas where the follicles have been lost. In those areas, a hair transplant may be considered.
